Systems are tested and dynamically tuned in-house before shipment. These are set up in a controlled environment with the best possible simulation of the customer's expected payload. This does not always guarantee a precision tune after the system arrives at a customer site. In several situations, there are changes in mounting, load size, inertia, and environment which can change how this performs. It is suggested that after you receive your new or RMA product, you perform an Easy Tune to enhance your system's overall performance!
Accessing Easy Tune from the Automation1 Software:
- Please open up Automation1 Studio.
- Locate the Configure Tab to view the configuration file being loaded into your controller
- Navigate to Axes > Servo
- Make sure you are on the Basic Editing Page, it should look similar to the image below
From here, you can set a custom performance target and start your Easy Tune. After clicking start, you can leave the default speeds and distance alone as this should adjust due to your system parameters.
You can also perform Classical Tuning and Frequency Responses by selecting the tabs at the bottom of this page.
After Easy Tune completes, you can view your changes and save them to your current MCD file.
If Easy Tune fails to complete, please try and set your performance target down to "Conservative" and try again. You can also contact Aerotech's Global Technical Support and accompany the ticket with any errors or screenshots to help us diagnose the problem.
