Problem

You are seeing the following error.

"An error occurred while processing a calibration file: <Location Code/Message>"

Solution

This is not an exhaustive list of causes, but some common or reoccurring sources of these particular errors.

Expand
titleAn invalid position unit was specified.

Ensure that the argument given to POSUNIT in the calibration file is one of the following:

  • PRIMARY
  • SECONDARY
  • COUNTS

Expand
titleAn error occurred while reading the file.

The optional SERIALNUMBER keyword was added to the calibration file format in A3200 version 5.02. If the calibration file was generated in or above 5.02, the SERIALNUMBER keyword must be removed in order to use the cal file with an older version of A3200.

Expand
titleThe file cannot be accessed; it is invalid or is not a valid size.
  • Ensure that you are attempting to load the correct calibration file. The file should have the *.cal extension.
  • Ensure that the calibration file loaded in A3200 Configuration Manager exists at the file directory specified in A3200 and that A3200 has permissions in Windows to access that directory.

Expand
titleAn invalid argument was specified.

You specified an invalid argument after :START, :START2D, :GALVOPOWER2D, or :GALVO2D in an axis calibration file.

  • Make sure that all of the arguments in the axis calibration file are spelled correctly.
  • Make sure that all of the arguments in the axis calibration file are valid for the type of calibration that you are using.
