Automation1

Disabling Secure Boot is a requirement of installing INtime 6.4, the real time operating system that installs with the Automation1-iSMC. INtime 6.4 is not compatible with Secure Boot in Windows 10. If Secure Boot is enabled, an error will occur during Automation1 installation. It must be permanently disabled in order for the Automation1-iSMC to install and operate.

Note that while the Automation1-iSMC requires Secure Boot to be disabled in order to be installed on a PC, drive-based controllers ("i" drives) have the iSMC pre-installed on the drive itself. In this case there is no need to install the iSMC on the PC, and Secure Boot can remain enabled when installing the Automation1-MDK.

See Optimizing Automation1 Performance for more information on PC settings and how they affect the operation of the Automation1-iSMC.

A3200

Disabling Secure Boot is a requirement to install INtime, the real time operating system that A3200 needs to run properly. A3200 versions 6.03 and above install with INtime 6.3 and require Secure Boot to be permanently disabled, there is no workaround for this. INtime 6.3 is not compatible with Secure Boot in Windows 10. If Secure Boot is enabled, an error will occur during A3200 installation. A3200 versions 6.02 and below install an older version of INtime and do not require Secure Boot to be disabled.

See Optimizing A3200 Performance for more information on PC settings and how they affect the operation of A3200.
